Our luxury suites: around 30 m², a panoramic window onto the river and the kind of silence that only exists in the middle of the Pantanal.

Pale wood, a wide bed under a mosquito net, a sitting area with armchairs facing the water and a private bathroom with a shower. The air conditioning runs all night, and the skylight lets the sunrise in before your alarm does.

The hotel boat for those who want comfort and life on board: air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant with a view and a high deck with a pool for the hot afternoons.

The common areas take up the whole main deck, with lounges, game tables and long windows that frame the forest going by. At the end of the day the top deck becomes a lookout, and the sunset lands right in the pool.

The base floats, but nothing about it is improvised. The vessels are moored together, and the structure is shared by those who come to fish and those who come for the wildlife.

Life on board

The day starts early and ends on the deck

The routine follows the river, not the clock. You leave before the heat, come back for lunch, and the afternoon starts again when the light softens and the wildlife comes down to the banks.

Meals are served buffet style, with river fish, meat, pasta, salads and homemade desserts. Between trips the common areas stay open: coffee all day, game tables and a hammock that is always free.

    Coffee and departure

    Breakfast served early and the skiffs on the water before the sun climbs, the best hour for wildlife.

  2. 12:00 pm

    Lunch on board

    Back to the boat, a buffet lunch and a pause on the deck through the midday heat.

  3. 3:30 pm

    Second departure

    Back into the channels and lagoons in the low afternoon light, when the jaguars come down to drink.

  4. 7:30 pm

    Dinner and stories

    Dinner served, the day's photographs passed around the table and the dark river outside the windows.
